The holiday season has arrived at the Sandy Cove Inn, and we have decorated the motel for your enjoyment. We and our little helper, Bingo, have hung wreaths, placed a Christmas tree in the lobby, set up lights on the railing and even added holiday décor to some of the rooms and vacation rentals. We’d love to have you come see for yourself. Happy Holidays!
Recently Mike and I took the girls to the beach in search of tiny sand dollars. Did you know you can find sand dollars smaller than than a pencil eraser? In our search, we met up with a local who told us all about tiny sand dollars, olive shells and seaweed. This friendly woman also told us what the different designs in the sand meant.
Next time you visit, look down at the sand and you’ll notice dips and bumps and squiggles. Underneath these funny marks in the sand you’ll find a sand crabs, olive shells and razor clams.
One of my favorite things about our beach walks is meeting up with people who have lived in Seaside for decades. They know so many secrets about the way the ocean and its critters work. Fascinating!

Spencer Morgan from Daddies Board Shop in Portland, Oregon recently hit up the Oregon Coast to check out our skate parks. He snapped quality photos and shares great reviews of what our skate parks have to offer. Great article, Spencer!
