Visit the Astor Column
The last time I visited the Astor Column it was drizzly and cold. Not fun and I refused to get out of the car. This time, the sun was out and the sky was clear. The view is incredible. You can see rivers and mountains and bridges and trees – it’s a stunning spot.
The girls loved our visit and raced across the grass, picked flowers and climbed over all the benches. If you have the energy, you can climb a staircase up to the top of the column. I didn’t want to try it with two toddlers, but I imagine the view is out-of-this-world. Add this to your list of “Things to Do” when you next visit the area. *Bring a $1 for parking.
